There's not that much action here from my side. I rarely find inspiration to write about my everyday life nor give frequent updates about my musical projects. Maybe because there is not that much to share at this moment in time. I'm all up in my day-job but is there music in the making? Of course! All the time, in my head.... And I have some interesting projects and collaborations that are just waiting to take form.

I just made me a new personal website/blog for my music and sound portfolio. Please come by and listen to music from various projects, own as well as others, that I have been a part of in one way or other. There will not be much written, but there will be loads of sounds.

My girlfriend, Laura turned 22 the 20th of June. I made her this little piano piece. She is the love of my life, my best friend and my greatest inspiration.

A few days ago we finally got the apartment we wanted. It's a big apartment in the central parts of Amsterdam. Today Laura's parents took us to IKEA where we bought a new floor. It's super expensive to decorate a new home, but still it's loads of fun.

Both my music projects EF and Halo of Pendor provided a song each for the compilation "Pray for Japan vol.2" together with 26 other indie-bands. All money goes directly to the Red Cross Japan.

Three months awaiting

"Three months awaiting" is an unreleased track of my solo-project Halo of Pendor.

This summer I had a long conversation with my aunt. She loves telling stories about her past and our family and I enjoy listening. One day I recorded our conversation.

In the song "Three months awaiting" she is talking about the death of her father,

my grand father. I thought it was a touching story so I decided to put music to her words.

The past two days I have been in the studio recording the drums for seven songs to the upcoming Halo of Pendor that I am working on right now. David from the Gentle act incident has been plying the drums and he has done a great job. We have been recording in Kristofer Göransson's studio (Guitar in the Gentle act incident) and he did great job as well. I'm really happy with the sound and I'm really excited about starting to work with this.

Big in Japan

I was contacted by a Japanese label one week ago regarding their interest in having "Papercuts" by Halo of Pendor featured on a CD compilation that will be found in record stores all over Japan. It's a promo "give-a-way" CD so that more people will open up their eyes for this label and the bands in their rooster.

Of course I agreed to be featured on this compilation. I'm just happy If people in Japan find their way to my music.

The compilation will be released in November.

I'll give it a fair chance

I decided some time ago to really give my project, Halo of Pendor a fair chance and the attention that I think this project deserves. I have gotten lovely response from some people and over and over I get the questions where my albums can be bought.

Having your own music projects have its upsides and downsides. It's perfect for me cause I love making music and I don't have to argue to get through my ideas. The downsides are that you don't have any band members to split the costs for when you are out touring and your van brakes down in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night at autobahn.

I have a hard time believing in what I'm doing even though the lovely response I've been given through the years. Luckily I have great friends that have been putting some pressure on me that its high time to start giving Halo of Pendor some attention.

Two days ago I had lunch with David from the Gentle act incident. David and I use to be the two driving forces in the Gentle act incident but then I just couldn't give the attention to all my projects cause there were just not enough time. I had to make priorities.

David and I have been missing working together so we decided that we will make this Halo of Pendor album together.

I have all the material already made so on Sunday we are gonna start with the song arrangements. I'm really looking forward start working with this.

My Dresden friends from the art collective "Romani Ite Domum" will release the very first release of Halo of Pendor!

On a red cassette tape (i know, very indie and VERY pretentious) with an unique designed cover will there be five Halo of Pendor songs, all about love - the good kind and the bad kind.

The very first release of Halo of Pendor is named "X's & Y's" (Exes and whys) and will be released on Valentines day. (14th of February)

After one of Laura's and mine regular Andra långgatan visits, having beer and enjoying the nice baked potatoes at Kings head, we found a piano standing at the middle of Järntorget.

I always wanted a piano of my own. That's probably what i miss the most from my parent's house in Kalmar, except from my parents of course. I remember those weekend mornings when my sister sat by the piano and taught me and my kid brother the harmonics to the Mamas and the Papas "California dreaming". I remember the time I wrote my very first song together with my sister.

Today it's the 7th of April. I guess it must been two years ago since I wrote 7th of April for Halo of Pendor. I just uploaded several of my songs at LastFm. Please download the songs if you feel like it. Its for free.
